Still Dances  1992

This series is about women through time, summarized and symbolized by the Romanesque nun (untouchable), Fertility (reproduction), Cycladic (mysterious) and Modern (worldly). Each figure strung on a pole, in a totem-like stack of fragmented clay, conveys the stillness in the centre of movement.
