The Force of the Moon’s Shell  2003

The circle, the idea of symmetry and the variety and transparencies of some Japanese papers inspired this body of work. My formal exploration evolved into the narrative revealing mysteries of the night moon. The dark sculptures anchor the viewer to a human presence within the scene, and create an exchange between the layers.
