Rocksbreath,  2001 – 2009
The thirty figures were initially installed in the courtyard Burlington Art Centre.  This instillation differs from “Pool”, “Plug”,  “Drain” and “Sink” in that the context is larger.  When groupings increase and decrease, the possibilities are expanded and the relationships become more complex.  The simplicity of the forms in both these works creates enough ambiguity to allow the viewers to see themselves, while altering the positions of the piece changes the stories..

As these sculptures cannot withstand the freezing and thawing of a Canadian winter, I have also make them out of solid cement, (see Haliburton Sculpture Garden). These can remain outdoors in all weather.
